Hamilton Diocese CWL

Annual Convention

May 2011

Dear Sisters in the League:

When Bellelle Guerin had a vision 91 years ago to organize the women of Canada under one organization, there were women in Hamilton Diocese that knew this was a good thing — and here we are celebrating 91 years with the National Council of the Catholic Women's League.

We are proud of all members of the Catholic Women's League and say thank you to those who came before and those who will come after to carry on this vision of Bellelle's and those visionaries in the Diocese of Hamilton.

We belong to a "national organization, rooted in gospel values, calling its members to holiness through service to the people of God". Be proud of whom you are and the organization you belong to.

Thank you also to those women who have said "yes" to serve at all levels of the Catholic Women's League. Your service to the people of God is to be congratulated and celebrated in this the 91st year of the Catholic Women's League.

May Our Lady of Good Counsel be with us now and into the future.

Mary Jane Yaeger
Hamilton Diocesan President
